Bybit and Blockchain for Good Alliance cohost livestream of Web3 WAGMI Race
Bybit, a notable player in the cryptocurrency exchange realm, recently joined forces with the Blockchain for Good Alliance to present a live stream for the Web3 WAGMI Race: Who’s Gonna Make It? event, as revealed to Finbold on June 13th.
The event showcased prominent speakers from Animoca Brands, Solana Foundation, Aptos (APT), Sei (SEIC), Taiko, and ConscienceLAND, who engaged in discussions about the future of Web3.
Esteemed figures from the Web3 community were divided into three debate teams: Team DeFi, Team Real-World, and Team Chains.
Team DeFi, led by Jonah Lau, VP and Head of Portfolio at Animoca Brands, and Andrea Baglioni, Head of Capital at Solana Foundation, emphasized the importance of mainstream adoption of games, meme coins, and NFTs, while highlighting the potential of DeFi to revolutionize the global financial system and tackle issues like climate change.
Team Real-World, represented by Philip McMaster, Principal Researcher at McMaster Institute at ConscienceLAND, and Grover, Head of Marketing at Sei, focused on bridging traditional finance with Web3 technology to address global challenges. They also explored the transformative impact of real-world assets and decentralized physical infrastructure networks.
Team Chains, spearheaded by Jerome Ong, APAC Ecosystem Lead at Aptos, and Joaquin Mendes Izard, Head of Partnerships at Taiko, delved into the integration of artificial intelligence in the Web3 space and the importance of building robust blockchain infrastructure.
Bybit Web3 celebrated a significant milestone of 10 million wallets during the event. Emily Bao, Bybit Web3 Evangelist, highlighted the company’s integration with over 30 blockchains and the successful launch of Bybit Web3’s DEX Pro decentralized trading product.
