SubQuery Network Introduces the First Decentralized RPCs for Polkadot and Kusama

Singapore City, Singapore, June 11th, 2024, Chainwire
SubQuery Network, a web3 infrastructure provider, has unveiled two new RPCs for the Polkadot ecosystem. These RPCs, designed for Polkadot and Kusama, mark a significant milestone as the first decentralized RPCs to be introduced on Substrate-based networks.
With a presence in nearly 200 networks, SubQuery Network operates as a decentralized network of indexers and RPC providers on a global scale. This infrastructure enables decentralized applications (dapps) to access blockchain data quickly and reliably, all while avoiding centralized control points. Developers working on Polkadot and Kusama projects now have the option to leverage SubQuery’s decentralized RPC nodes.
James Bayly, COO of SubQuery, expressed excitement about being at the forefront of offering decentralized RPCs for Polkadot through the SubQuery Network. He highlighted the network’s experience in running RPCs and other nodes across various ecosystems, emphasizing their ability to support Polkadot developers effectively.
The deployment of Polkadot RPCs, managed by over 30 independent Node Operators, is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of blockchain projects and enabling access to data from multiple origins. RPCs serve as a vital communication link between blockchain nodes and external entities, facilitating functions like data retrieval, smart contract interactions, and transaction submissions. By offering decentralized RPCs, SubQuery Network empowers dapps to operate securely and efficiently without reliance on centralized middleware.
SubQuery’s journey began within the Polkadot ecosystem, where it introduced an indexer capable of connecting to the network’s unique multi-chain structure. Since then, the platform has expanded to serve numerous networks, positioning itself as a leading provider of web3 data indexing based on chain support.
